Friday After 5 includes multiple venues of live entertainment along the beautiful Owensboro, Kentucky riverfront.

2. The NEW MAIN STAGE… Jagoe Home Riverfront Live Stage at the Holiday Inn Riverfront 
3. The Atmos Energy Ampitheatre at McConnell Plaza 
4. The Kroger Street Fair on Veterans Boulevard includes vendors, unique children’s events and special appearances by your favorite cartoon land stars
5. Glenn’s Gospel on the River, a series of free concerts featuring gospel groups TBA 
6. The beautiful Romain Suburu Overlook Stage near the signature fountains host the “Hottest Local Talent”

Each week’s theme is different for the Kroger Street Fair. Back Again… We host kids Contests and invite the contestants to center stage at the Jagoe Homes Riverfront Live stage at Holiday Inn.  There might be some fun games for adults as well. We all meet at sundown to “Toast the Sunset” as it dips into the Ohio on our main Jagoe Homes Stage. Then the nightlife continues.

Holiday Inn and the Owensboro Convention Center will allow guests of all ages, however; anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult over the age of 21.

Friday After 5 is a summer-long free, fun, family-friendly concert and street fair festival on the Owensboro, Kentucky riverfront. All events are free.

Friday After 5 began in 1997 with four concerts and grew into a 16-week signature riverfront festival for the entire tri-state area hosting more than 70,000 visitors each season.  Friday After 5 is Where the Weekend Begins!  

Featuring several venues of entertainment, food trucks and a kid-friendly Street Fair, Friday After 5 has become THE place to be every Friday during the summer.  No tickets. No fees. No kidding.  All events are free!

We’d like to thank the academy, but they didn’t have anything to do with it.  YOU are the reason Friday After 5 was named a “Top Ten Summer Festival” in Kentucky and has won the prestigious Messenger-Inquirer Reader’s Choice Platinum Award for “Best Community Event” for eight consecutive years.  

The Owensboro Riverfront, on Veterans Blvd from Frederica, through McConnell Plaza, up St Elizabeth and Locust, past the Owensboro Convention Center, to the main stage at the Holiday Inn, with special events at the Bluegrass Museum backyard in downtown Owensboro, KY, an All-America City!

Friday After 5 provides entertainment on several stages along the riverfront; the Holiday Inn Jagoe Homes Riverfront MAIN Stage, Atmos Energy Amphitheater stage; VFW Post 696, Smothers Park Romain-Subaru Overlook, Lure Seafood & Grille stage and the Ruoff Party Pier Stage at the Owensboro Convention Center with special events at the Bluegrass Museum Backyard. Included downtown for Friday After 5 is the world-famous Smothers Park, the Shelton POW Memorial and International Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame and Museum with wonderful family friendly entertainment and our famous street fair with vendors and food trucks.
